The Land - 40 hectares of vineyards

Forty hectares, located on the southern side of the province of Trapani, east of Marsala and west of Salemi, among the gentle expanses of hills that color the wide valleys, characterize this magnificent “terroir”.

Over the years, the company has glimpsed the succession of different cultivars, both native and allochthonous, keeping in mind the pedoclimatic peculiarities that distinguish its farms.

In 1962, the beginning of it all took shape with two young men in their early twenties – "u Zi Mase" and "u Zi Vicenzo. They were brought together not only by their shared passion for agriculture but also by a common purpose to ensure the continuity of this vital work for both their time and the future years ahead.

In 1958, "U Zi Mase" embarked on a journey as a sharecropper in the Marsala area. Even after marriage, he dedicated himself to tending the land for various landowners, instilling in his children a passion for agriculture, especially viticulture.

In August 1964, the Communist Party Secretary Palmiro Togliatti passed away. "U Zi Vicenzo" then decided to focus on making wine by bringing the grapes home.

In 1995, they bought our first piece of land in Nasco. It was a farm where we made memories with family, enjoyed quality and quantity from Inzolia grapes until 2011.

Since 1999, we have focused solely on caring for our cherished vineyards, specifically those belonging to Nonno Vincenzo. We have dedicated ourselves wholeheartedly to producing the finest grapes and showcasing the quality of our land.

In 2007, tough times made us question if we should persevere. It felt like a dark period, much like when a disease ruined most of our grapes, leaving us with only a fraction of the usual harvest in Nasco.

In the past, we managed only a few local grape types like Grillo, Inzolia, and Catarratto. From 2014, we also work with popular varieties such as Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Grigio, and Viognier in our business.

In 2022, we are excited to embrace new beginnings and opportunities on the horizon. As we set our sights on the future, we are grounded in our values and commitment to quality. Venturing into the realm of online shopping, our goal is to introduce our offerings to a wider audience and showcase the essence of who we are.
