MELOGRANIMARTINO, LECCE, SALENTO, PUGLIA, ITALY

We have 25 different varieties of pomegranates with different organoleptic characteristics and ripeness.

Mainly the precocious Ako, the Wonderful and the Viola di Monteroni pomegranate.

In addition, in our field there are other native varieties of Salento, such as Dente di Cavallo, Mollar, Sordo, and other international ones.

Since 2020 we have been planting a new variety, created in 2015 from a hybridization by Daniele De Pascalis, dedicated to his granddaughter Sophie.

Pomegranate: A Versatile Fruit

Pomegranate is a fruit with remarkable properties. Rich in powerful antioxidants, it helps reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and promotes flawless skin. This natural anti-inflammatory also boasts a high content of essential fatty acids, aiding in cell regeneration and skin repair. Ellaic acid, a key antioxidant in pomegranate juice, plays a pivotal role in preventing heart disease. Brimming with vitamins E and C, selenium, and beta-carotene, it is known to alleviate hot flashes and mood swings. Apart from these benefits, the pomegranate's vivid red hue and its unique sweet-sour taste make it a truly irresistible choice.
