ARTIGLIO (Fermentation takes place in ceramic barrels)
Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente
VINEYARD VINEYARDS: 100% VERMENTINO (Grape Selection)
unique "Ciarella" vineyard
Controlled Designation of Origin
It was 1925 when a local fisherman found some amphorae among his nets. The discovery aroused interest immediately, but it was necessary to wait until February 1950 for a first recovery attempt, on board the ship "Artiglio", which managed to recover over 700 amphorae in just under a month, starting a campaign of submerged excavations.
It was born as a dedication to fishermen, from a single vineyard our Vermentino macerated in Amphora, with grapes selected in the late harvest of a single vineyard immersed in the Mediterranean scrub.
Soft, smoky, with flavors of cut grass and aromatic plants, vinified entirely in amphora, with native yeasts from the vineyard.
Straw yellow color, intense, brilliant and
bright; the Perfume is a riot of pulped fruits
ripe yellow that fades towards aromatic herbs,
orange peel and delicate sensations that
recall cut grass and scrub
Mediterranean, slight smoky notes. Taste of
Fresh ripe yellow fruit with fruit sensations
dried, soft and enveloping with a finish
persistent and long.
