From Piedmont to the hills of Upper Umbria following the Savoy officials. These are the historical traces that testify to the settlement of the vine in the farms of Gubbio, after the Unification of Italy in 1861. A happy settlement, which guarantees the wine a quality that was highly appreciated at the beginning of the twentieth century. The goal was to rediscover, as Luigi Veronelli said, a wine "of good balance, complete to the taste and not devoid of elegance and texture" (I Vini d'Italia, 1961).
